Osteria SFIZIO

Posted on 03 February 2012 by admin

Osteria lends to a place where one may wander into to quench a need for a light and casual lunch, a light repast to hold you over before
dinner, and for a easy delicious mean in the twilight. Sfizio literally can be translated as an unquenchable craving. A craving so
intense, that no one meal may satisfy, and your only choice is to return for more. This is Rocky’s creation. He has brought Eugene the
bold full bodied wines of Italy to to be sipped in the sunshine, authentic regional foods to grace our palletes, and food that
is so incedible that our sighs of satisfaction do not do his plated creations justice. Simply, not possible.

Rocky has always wanted, no needed to be a chef. More than that, he dreamt of creating a restaurant for which his entire family could
take part in. In 1998, Rocky made the move to Eugene to take part of Marche, and became the General Manager and executive chef.
He oversaw the creation and expansion of Marche Provisions. Then, sixteen months later, Rocky created a reality for his long held dreams, and opened the doors to Osteria Sfizio. This was the moment he had waited for since cooking as a child with his grandmother.

Much goes into the beauty that graces the plates of this restaurant. Rocky develops personal relationships with local farmers, butchers, and vintners. 75% of his wines served are imported from Italy directly. In Italy, many of these wines are served casually in
pitchers, to be enjoyed with the soul satiating food. However, he does not overlook our verdant green hills that are ripe with grapes
here in Lane County. Whether it is the fresh herbs, the greens that lie beside the rich entrees, or fruits that blend so effortlessly,
Rocky has made sure that all are drawn from our local resources.

Now, it should be understood that traditional reservations are not in play here. Rocky utilizes a new “open-table system” in which
one may use my downloading this application on their digital phone, or book on-line. This modern system assures a customer that they will be receive their table with ease and keeps the flow into the restaurant flowing nicely. The menu here caters to carne (meat),
vedura (veggies), or pesci (seafood). And, of course, the tapas of anti pasta. Sitting down at one of Rocky’s tables, one’s taste
buds may marvel as result of the raw oysters and seasonal fish, barata mozzarella, or the homemade pasta created and served daily.

Look for great things from the chef of this kitchen. As of August 29th, Rocky will be delivering regional creations of authentic
Italian cuisine, importing those wines, and holding five-couse meals that will become this town’s personal addiction. Beyond that,
Rocky promises a local event that will be of grande scale and style that will not fail to be impress the critical of food conniseur. So,
Eugene, if you want to know what Italy has to offer sans the passport, make your way to Osteria Sfizio.

Ladies, sometimes we overlook something that has literally been right in front of us all the time.  A gem that we passed over, thinking it’s probably just like all the others.  However, if we pause just long enough, we just might take the time to notice that gleam, that shimmer that makes this one stand out from all the rest.  Such is the case with Perfect Nails Salon.  Located in our very own Springfield Gateway Mall, this salon provides top notch service literally from fingers to toes.
Some twelves years past, Gail Huynh, originally from Vietnam purchased and opened Perfect Nails Salon.  To say her family enterprise is a  success would be a gross understatement.  Her son Hieu maintains the ebb and flow of this high energy salon, and is himself responsible for rave reviews on many a woman’s fingertips.  Her daughter Carrie runs the Oakway Mall location, French Nails and Spa where she works side by side with her husband Kevin and brother Hep.  This is definitely a family affair!  Both salons are held to a high working standard and strive for perfection.
One can  walk into Perfect Nails and experience a beautiful pedicure while lounging in a vibrating massage chair receiving a heavenly calf massage, get a manicure, french nails, or nail art done.  And Ladies, why choose when you pamper yourself with all of these options.   However, the prices at this Salon are kept to reasonable rates to encourage their customers to treat themselves to these luxuries often.  And of course, the Salon is kept well ventilated, clean and tidy, and provides a atmosphere when woman can let go their “to-do” lists and relax!
So Ladies, while your men are eagerly cruising about the shelves in Cabellas, take a moment for you, stroll into Perfect Nails Salon.  It is the perfect time to Pamper you!

There are places that we are simply drawn to.  Here, young lads may dance about and exclaim at the old life-sized train cars still strewn
about.  Mothers can bring their kids in for incredible burgers and even better prices.  At this historic restaraunt and grill, the
Margaritas are sizzling and refreshing all in the same sip!  Country music wafts through the casual air, peanut shells have been tossed in
careless abandon, and you will be served something that you didn’t even know you were craving until you walked through the door.
Welcome, ladies and gents, to the Rodeo Steakhouse and Grill.

Did you know, that here, here you can order barbecue rib tacos?  Yes, it is as amazing as it sounds.  Tender rib meat, add in the crunch of cabbage, and a splash of cilantro and lime all wrapped in a corn tortilla.  Your tastebuds will stand up and applaud.  But, did you
just want lunch?  Well, there is no “just lunch” here people.  No, for $6.99 you recieve a giant burger that entices your pallate with it’s
special flavor, fries or any side dish, and a drink.  Goodbye fast food, hello Rodeo!

neck of the woods.  Since then, Nelson’s Rodeo Steakhouse has become a integral part of his community.  Rodeo Steakhouse takes on everything from the Function in Junction, caters weddings, provides weary golfers with much needed sustenance, and always takes care of their local families.  Here, the waitresses treat you as a treasured friend, no request is too small, and the menu always offer a daily surprise!

Minimally Invasive

Minimally Invasive

Posted on 03 February 2012 by admin

In the not so distent past, patients seeking care for pesky spider veins, or threatening spider veins were simply treated in hallways, being not the highest priority for care.  Pushed to the way side.  These patients were treated to a procedure called “vein stripping”.  This procedure was both time consuming and painful.  Today, there is a clinic, where patients may go and receive top quality care, from a panel of eighteen devoted doctors.  This place is called Minimally Invasive Specialists.  If you are experiencing symptoms such as pain in your legs, swelling of your limbs, skin alterations, heaviness and fatigue in the legs, ulcers, or varicose veins.  The valves of your veins may not be closing properly, and these doctors invite you to be seen and cared for on an outpatient basis.  Less pain, and at a greatly accerlerated healing process!

At Minimally Invasive, an outpatient procedure has been developed in which the problematic vein may be treated with what is called radiofrequencey (RF), delivered through a small catheter.  The vein then shrinks, closes, and the blood may then be re-routed to other healthy veins.  Of course, one may have to refrain from immediate sun-tanning, and may wear a supportive compressision bandage.  However, these doctors expect normal activity from their patients within  one to two days.  Now, as these veins may have been affected for many years, it may take a few sessions to clear up.  This can be done every two week until the patient had minimal or no scarring.  It is amazing what modern medicine can treat, especially when doctors actively pursue it for their valued patients.

Now, for people who suffer from Spider Veins and have all but given up on the idea of wearing shorts, bathing suits, or simply seeing the light of day with spider veins marring the surface of their legs, this is for you.  There is a new prescription medicine by the name of Asclera.  In a procedure called, Sclerotherapy, this is used to treat small spider veins, and small varicose veins, or reticular veins.  Asclera is injected into the vein, this evolves the vein into a clotted vein, which will evolve and be replaced with natural tissue.  These sessions are as brief as fifteen to forty-five minutes!  Now, patients will be made aware that there will be no heavy lifting at the gym, sunning, jet-setting, or marinating in a hot tub or sauna.  And patients may again be asked to sport a compression stocking following the procedure.  A small price to pay for walking about in shorts or bathing suits with confidence and healthy happiness.

So, if you suffer from any of the symptom or afflictions mentioned above, know that there are doctors that care to take the time to answer your questions, allay your fears, and restore you to the health that you have always had.  Let Minimally Invasive see to your needs.  Call and make an appointment, and find out how these doctors can treat you!
