At Poppi’s Anatolia the traditional meets the unique. Meet Eugene’s very own Greek and Indian Food Restaurant…Sound like an odd mix? Well, they’ve been serving up unequaled culinary experiences in Oregon for the past 25 years.

Since 1987, Poppi’s Anatolia has been acting as Eugene’s local gateway to unique combinations of cuisine. Their dishes provide vast arrays of tastes and textures all to equal that experience of what is unforgettable.

Co-Owner, Diantha Hull, first came to Eugene in 1986 and purchased Poppi’s Anatolia with her business partner George Schaefer from Poppi Cotam. They initially began a strictly Greek restaurant. Once the location moved to Willamette Street, her and her business partner George decided Eugene’s culinary palate needed a change. So they began the combination of complex highly spiced Indian curries with simple hearty Greek peasant dishes – a combo that works better than you may be thinking!

Poppi’s Anatolia is the one place where you have the unusual opportunity to begin a meal with traditional Greek Mezedakia, a combination of appetizers, dips, olives and breads; or a Classic Greek Salad made with tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, and feta – Then, hop on a plane to India for a change of tastes and explore Indian shrimp curry, fiery hot or mild with an exotic complexity of spices. To complete your journey, you can select a dessert to encompass those flavors from around the world you’ve come to experience all in a single meal. The ending result can be nothing short of satisfying – Leaving you with the urge for more!

Poppi’s has been an active part of the Eugene community for the past 25 years. From participating with gift certificates to many different Silent Auctions, to food donations to various community organizations, Poppi’s Anatolia pride’s themselves in calling Eugene home.

As ongoing developments and rebuilding continue to prosper Downtown Eugene – so does Poppi’s Anatolia – and their excitement for the future of Eugene has encouraged the continued level of consistency and value. It is Poppi’s goal to always remain affordable to their local customers.

Poppi’s Anatolia is known for their friendly staff accompanied by their casual dining atmosphere to create an environment where a meal is both delicious and nutritional. At Poppi’s there’s always a wide variety of vegetarian as well as meat dishes. Their knowledgeable staff will gladly assist you in choosing the dish you will most personally enjoy.

At Poppi’s, the kitchen is visible, giving you a guarantee of authenticity of the freshly prepared meal served to you – and you can be certain it was only made with top-quality ingredients, attention and care. At Poppi’s you come to expect and recognize the signature plates made from scratch by their experienced staff.

Come visit and see for yourself the unique combination of Classic Greek and Traditional Indian cuisine. Come on “Poppi’s Night” (every Sunday) and all selections are Greek with added items to the menu. Such dishes include Arni Souvlaki, tender marinated lamb grilled to perfection; Classic Greek Mousaka; Kalamarakia, the house specialty which is squid, lightly floured and shallow fried in olive oil, then served in simple Greek fashion with lemon and salt.

If your mouth isn’t drooling with anticipation yet, check out their website for more information: http://poppisanatolia.com/

See you there!

Jung’s Mongolian Grill, located along Commerce Street, is a high quality restaurant serving authentic Chinese cuisine. Their staff is committed to serving a large variety of freshly prepared dishes including chicken, pork, noodles, vegetarian options, and more.

Owner Stephen Snyder, a Eugene native who has been living in the area for more than 20 years, opened up the restaurant in 2003. He was tired of working for other establishments and wanted to own a restaurant that served wholesome and healthy food.

Jung’s Mongolian Grill is known around town for their superior service, fresh food, and accommodating staff. The employees treat each other, as well as their guests, like a family and make every patron feel right at home. Snyder tries to get to know his customers on a one-on-one basis and sometimes waits tables himself so he can communicate with his restaurant’s guests.

“It’s like a special treat to come to Jung’s,” Snyder said. Snyder is dedicated to giving back to the community and donates time and even delicious food to a lot of local events and charities including schools. His company also buys locally grown food.

Owner, Darrel Williams came to Cottage Grove in 1961 and felt the one thing the town needed was a good pizza place.

Located along West 6th Avenue in Eugene, The Caddis Fly Angling Shop is one of the most seasoned and well respected fly fishing shops in the area. They have been providing their customers with impeccable service and a wide variety of high quality fishing equipment since 1978. The Caddis Fly Angling Shop carries a large selection of name brand products including fly rods, fly boxes,
rod and reel cases, fly lines, tackle and gear boxes, sportswear apparel, nets, waders and much more.

Owner Chris Dougherty started working at the store 30 years ago when he was just 10 years old. His first responsibility was stocking shelves and sorting fly tying materials. According to Chris, The Caddis Fly Angling Shop was like a second home to him right off the bat.

The Caddis Fly Angling Shop is dedicated to second-to-none customer service and providing their clients with higher end equipment. They also offer guided fishing trips in Eugene and Springfield as well as all around the state to help direct people to the best fishing sports available. They provide fishing tours to many causes, including local schools for field trips.

A Eugene native, Dougherty is committed to giving back to the community. His store participates in a lot of local high school fund raisers, donations and also buys local.

Chris and his staff are known around town for their excellent customer service skills and catering to the needs of their customers. Dougherty knows the best fishing gear available on the market and wants to pass his vast knowledge on to his customers.

“I sometimes help a wife shop for her husband,” Chris said. “I will know his needs to better
serve the wife.”

The Caddis Fly Angling Shop has big plans for the future. They are slowly growing their online product selection. You can visit their website at orgonflyfishingblog.com for more information.
